Thanks for the link. Its really informative. I've been around photographing a lot, and I sometimes get silly remarks from people when I ask them to photograph with me.

Street photography isn't my scene, but it does raise interesting questions. If you ask first you lose the spontaneous action. If you don't you might be accused of invading someone's privacy.
I don't know about the rest of the world, but generally in the UK you are free to photograph in public places. Where it gets difficult is if there are children involved and the perceived risks if the images are published.
