Great holmertz 2018-07-16 0:47

Hello Kasia,
It's not poverty that turns people into criminals, it's collapsed or dysfunctional societies, or areas left behind in societies on the verge of breaking up. And small villages are always a lot safer than the cities, including in most African countries.
As for this photo it's a pleasure to watch the woman preparing the food in this environment, and how you exposed it. You captured her skin tones perfectly. It's fascinating to read about the cow slapping your back at that moment. Don't you have any pictures showing the cow in the kitchen?
Nice workshops too, not just because of the ladies in red. Terraced agricultural areas always look graphically terrific.
Have a nice week,
PS Thanks a lot for your latest comments on my pictures.

Default To holmertz: Cows

Thank you for your kind remarks Gert and I agree with your comments about small communities. Unless they are dysfunctional like you know which place I mean I have visited fairly recently. Or unless there is a war or serious famine.
I couldn't take a photo of the cows in the kitchen as it was not possible to get to the other side of the animals and taking a photo of just that corner didn't really make sense (a photo of farm animals in a dark room that looks like a cowshed...). I vaguely remember I did think about it, I maybe even took some photos that I subsequently deleted. The animals occupied that space only at night so evening and morning where the only times to do it (this photo was taken in the morning, some bright light already coming into the kitchen.
Have a nice week
