Default To optic: did you mean to give a comment or a critique with

Hi Christian,

Thanks for the comment. I noticed that you awarded the "harrowing work" photo two points but the point total for the photo did not go up. I wrote to Adam, who said you gave a "comment", not a "critique" and that the points don't count.

I have seen comments posted before with no smilie face, and no points, but had never seen a two point smilie taht looks like it gives points, but they don't get counted. I wondered if you meant to give only a comment with no points, or meant to give the two points that you clicked on? If you click "comment" then no points can be given, but points can be given if you click on "critique".

I am not trying to beg for points, but I had never seen this before and wanted to know if you knew that you clicked on the two point award but didn't actually give them (because you were in comment mode). If you do wish to give points you need to click on critique. You can also go back to any photos, like this one, and "edit" your note to change comment to critique and then the points will be awarded.

Glad you enjoyed the photo, this is an interesting web site for us all to share our work.

best wishes, Ian
