Great PaulVDV 2020-05-31 11:46

Hello Jean,
Three excellent pictures showing the dugout canoe with good views of how it looks inside in the WS.
What I didn't understand well is this an old boat that was found somewhere? Or does this serve as a model to show how such log boats are made?
I guess it's the second. The piece of the tree trunk that is still attached to it is much too heavy and will let the boat sink.
Also the wood inside isn't sufficiently scraped.
As an example of how such log boats are made, it is extremely educational.
Best regards, Paul

Default To PaulVDV: Dugout boat

Hello Paul, thank you for your kind comments.
The 'trunk' part is there to show where the boat originated from, and
the dug out areas are a work in progress, I guess.
Basically it is a model to show how log boats are made.

Kind regards,
Jean.
