Great worldcitizen 2019-10-19 17:16

Hello Paul,
This is another fabulous set of photos. I'm really enjoying your NYC views. :-) The blue hour never disappoints, and I like that you captured a small boat going by. I don't like that new building on the left, though, but not because of its style. In another location it would be fine, but in most views of the bridges it tends to stick out like a sore thumb. They should have built it in another spot! This is a beautiful photo, though, and I also really like the night view from the Brooklyn Bridge, too.

Default To worldcitizen: The new tall tower

Thank you Brenda,

No problem to include a boat on a picture of the bridges.
There are boats all the time

That new building (if I remember well it's still under construction) is not placed ideally on my picture.
There was a small but beautiful park along the waterside but the options for a good point of view for a picture of Manhattan Bridge were a bit limited.
Another point of view from where the tall tower would not be an extension of one of the bridge pillars would be much better.
But to obtain the best picture of the bridge (in my opinion) I always had that tower on the wrong place.

Best wishes,
Paul

Default The tower

Hi Paul,

Maybe I wasn't completely clear with my critique. I tried to take some photos of the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan a few months ago, and that building made the view much less attractive. You can't avoid it. It was much better to take photos before it was built. Your composition is fine, it's just the building's location in general that I don't like.

Have a good day!
Brenda
