    Hello Dale,

Dunbar is a very attractive little fishing village. We stayed there for several days earlier this year.
I like how you have managed to place the information board in the f/g and created a natural , diagonal link to the ruined castle, dominating the b/g.
Your photograph has a fine clarity and pleasing colours.

    My warm regards,
    Bev 😊

    Bonjour Serge,

We don't actually see the village but we do see the beauty of an autumn in Quebec!
    The colours are truly stunning!
The road makes a plain but effective guide to the archway of fiery leaves.

    My warm regards,

    Hello Ike,

A very sweet, little car whose shape and colours will attract a lot of attention; a great vehicle for advertising! You noticed it and so will lots of others!
The photograph is clear and colourful, the vehicle appearing to be heading straight out of the monitor!

    My warm regards,

    Hello Will,

I think you are the first to post a 'Dutch' photograph.
It's an excellent photograph, especially when you consider the weather and the light.
I love the incongruity between the message on the window and the apparent individuality of the three girls.

    Hello Christine,

Tholen has windmills as well as Kinderlych!
    This was a lovely one.
I like how you have managed to include the birds to emphasise the height.
By giving this view, you have drawn attention to the similarity between the platform and the sails.

    Have a good day,

    Hello Claude,

An excellent example of your characteristic 'street photography'.
This daddy is paying the ultimate homage to his child as he lays prostrate.

It must have been a difficult choice for you, as to which photograph to post as the main. The shot of the baby walking, with all the lovely reflections is also a main post. I suppose that this is a natural lead to the second shot.

    Have a good day,
    Bev :-)

    Bonjour Nicolas,

This is a really well cropped shot, allowing the water, with its golden reflections and rising mist, to set the scene for the strongly placed fisherman.
The mist and the fisherman's clothing give us an indication that it is quite cold!

    My warm regards,

    Hello Gerrit,

You may know that I have just returned from Netherlands so this scene is a delight for me! Generally, we didn't get such bright weather, lighting up the scenery and creating good water reflections!
I like how well you have used the cobbled path and the two milk-churns of flowers.
You have created a very tranquil, period scene.

    My warm regards,

    Witaj Krzysztof,

You have made this photograph so interesting by including the details of the grass in the f/g. They give the impression that the church is growing, too.
The church is strongly placed off-centre, whilst the trees are both a contrast with the building and a link to the grasses.
    Excellent clarity.

    Hello Rob,

This main post is a great tribute to modern design and is beautifully placed in the frame of the photograph. I like the co-ordination of the colours, with just a hint of the older building from which it emerges.

Your w/s photographs clearly show how the modern extension resembles crystals, seeming to break out from the ground (the previous stone building).
    Lovely!

    My warm regards,

    Hello John,

It was sad news to read that your hand is not healing quickly but I think you were sensible to use public transport to reach your favourite city. Having pleasure from that will help you to concentrate on the positive rather than than the pain.

This is a lovely photograph of the building facades.
The Chocolatier shop looks to have been fitted in, like a piece of a jigsaw, and as such stands out noticeably both in colours and shape.
The strolling figures and the well placed red seats, ensure that we we explore the whole of the f/g.
As always, your photograph has great clarity. Not even a painful hand can prevent that!

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Hello Benny,

Great use of the boat's prow, to make viewers feel that they are experiencing the view from the boat.
The yellowish f/g colours make a really attractive contrast with the cloudy, blue sky. The light is very effective on the water.

Plants growing in the boat! Are my eyes deceiving me!

    Hello Craig,

I loved your story of crossing the border!
2 a.m. in the morning, driving to photograph a tree farm! Who would believe that! 😆😆😆

This is a very different sort of photograph for you but shows your versatility, for this is just as good as your urban shots.
The composition reminds me very much of those from Belgium or Netherland, where there are strong lines of converging trees.
I like how the greenery makes a canopy, a Gothic doorway into the distance.
    Good textural details, too.

    Hello Gert,

A delightful scene in which the sheep looks surprisingly content to be washed. I hope it was to remove a smell rather than for a sacrifice!
It's nicely composed and has good depth, created by the approaching figures.
This activity is often seen in the U.K. in modern times. The sheep, or other farm animals, are washed and shampooed before they are exhibited at show-grounds. The cleaner and fluffier that they look, the more likely they are to win a prize; the more prizes they have obtained, the more valuable they become.

LIke you, I hope that the priceless objects have been saved. It's a tragedy to think that objects which have survived for so many millennia, should be destroyed in one foul swoop.

    My warm regards,
    Bev :-)

    Ciao Caro Luciano,

For me, this has taken advertising to a gross extreme. The products seem to have a greater importance than the homes where people live. It must feel like living inside a plastic bottle, to the inhabitants.
You have raised a very important aspect of modern life and have clearly shown how giant commercial enterprises dominate in intimate aspects of people's lives.
Can you imagine one of the occupants explaining that they live in the washing-up liquid building, next door to the laundry liquid building!

    Hello David,

This is a lovely, moody photograph.
The composition is well judged, using the river as as an effective guide, into the dense greenery of the conifers. But, then the light sprinkling of snow makes us realise at that it is just the beginning of of the snow as well as the beginning of the journey into the forest.

    Hello Lars,

Although I like the garden (I am very involved in planting in my village), I do prefer the first photograph, with its pointed shape and its very good shadow details. (You know I really like shadow patterns!) Are those Japanese characters on the tablets? I can't decide if it has a musical function, an informative function or just a decorative function.
Still, it works well as a photograph!
