    Hello Silvio,
This landscape has the appearance of an impressionist painting.
The curving path makes for a good composition.
But as usually you found yourself on a much higher position.

    Hello Luciano,
This picture is excellently composed with the ship wreck at one side, the man at the other and the curve of the beach on the foreground.
Beautiful also with the small waves.
Supplementary to your note: Yesterday I heard that again more than 500 migrants have arrived at Lampedusa. No idea if they're coming from Tunisia or from elsewhere.

Beautiful combination of your favourite subject with a work of art on the foreground.

    Hello Ryszard,
The main university building has a wonderful setting at the river.
The - I guess - late afternoon light provides beautiful yellowish tones on the building that go well with the deep blue sky.
An attractive, clear and sharp presentation.

    Hello Ryszard,
I like university cities: they're full of life and have a good choice of cheaper restaurants and there are many cafes.
Of course when those university cities are historical places, they're the most interesting.
I've been once in Poland but Wrocław wasn't on my itinerary then. I'm sure it's a very interesting city.
I like this photo a lot with its good composition, good depth, interesting older architecture and an attractive foreground with the musician travelers.

    Hello Gert,
The architecture of Djenné is world famous and I'm certainly looking out for more pictures of that mud architecture. I also like places with uniform architecture a lot.
These photos from everyday life show a fascinating place. The main picture shows beautifully several people gathered around a well while no one is standing with his back to your camera.
In the background we get to see the contours of the well known architecture. Very beautiful with the battlements of the building in the centre.
Regarding to the picture of the river branch and other previous pictures of you: I have the impression that the landscapes around the water in Mali are usually quite disconsolate. These landscapes feel more cheerless to me than a desert. Maybe it’s just an impression and I would find it differently on the spot.
So far I’ve never scanned an older photo or slide but from your note I deduce that the process isn’t really that easy and the first time it doesn’t always lead to the desired result.
For the time being, I still have enough new photos to continue. Maybe even longer than the existence of TE (of course I hope not).
    Best regards, Paul

    Hello Beverley,
At first I thought you took this picture somewhere in Italy. However, I cannot immediately know which church this pulpit reminds me of.
It is a very beautiful and richly decorated pulpit and the lions are a fantastic added value.
I also like the different colour shades of the columns and surfaces.
Good to have included the visitor and the big pot with flowers.
    Excellent quality of both pictures!

    Hello Silvio,
Of course I immediately thought of the well-known Arch of Constantine in Rome.
The Arch of Trajan here is a bit smaller but also very beautiful.
The many bas-reliefs, also under the arch, make this a very remarkable monument.
Very good clear and sharp picture!

    Hallo Rob,
    Prettige zondag, Paul

    Hallo Rob,
Dergelijke wachtrijen schrikken me meestal wel af.
    Prettige zondag, Paul

Impressive how the Lion Mountain rises so high from the flat landscape.
The earthen path with the visitors leads us well towards the giant rock.

I recognize the place and start to wonder why I didn't take more photos in Antequera at the time.
Beautiful how the church towers emerge at the end of the street under the arch.

    Hello Mariusz,
Being more than a picture of the castle, you offer us a very nice view of the landscape of North Yorkshire.
Very green and demarcated with stone walls.
The abandoned house plays a greater role than the castle ruin but especially the quiet rural character of the region is important here.
I really like the composition of your photo.

For some reason I didn't make it to Kashan at the time.
Here you present us three beautiful pictures that show the wonderful architecture of the bazar in an excellent way.

The bazar is a wonderful world!
No matter in which country you enter it, a completely different world opens up.
You present us here very colourful pictures of the Esfahan bazar.
I can see that the headscarf is worn less strictly by the lady in your main photo than when I was in Iran. In that time, ladies were not allowed to show any of the hair on the head.
