Hi Barbara,
Great composition, you captured the pilot in such a hero-like stance!! I've taken lots of photos of para-sailors but I always included the chute; I'm very impressed with the power of this closeup.

Hi Ike,
It is difficult to capture such a sweeping landscape from a mountain; however, you have succeeded. The closer detail of the rocks and evergreen in the foreground adds depth as does the drama of sunlight and cloud shadow on the high finger of land. The curve of blue water also highlights the peninsula. There is also some detail in the far shore as it fades into the mist. It is altogether a lovely composition.
Incidentally, there are also fjords in New Zealand and British Columbia.

Hi Derek,
The wonderful explosion of clouds is matched by the excellent foreground detail of the cliff-side bluff with the sea and harbor enhancing the horizon. Too often fabulous skies lack the outstanding ground of this composition.
We have all benefited by your decision to replace smoking with photography; what a great idea!!

Hi Way,
Beautiful capture of the morning blue hour with the sweep of pink clouds kissing the mountains. The bright clouds have the delicate detail of perfect exposure while the shadowed foreground still lets us appreciate the diagonal lines of rocks and tree and the lake reflects a bit of light. Just lovely.
You are really quick with getting your pictures up. Better watch out with the early morning risings, they can be addictive to the dedicated photographer.

Ola Andre,
A very fine post to illustrate your fifth anniversary with the 1/3 golden foreground, 1/3 misty distance and 1/3 bright sky; it's all captured with great light management in spite of the difficulty of very different light levels.
Just for fun, I went back to your first posts, you clearly have improved although your love for Brazil show through clearly from the first.

Hi John,
I suspect that was quite a climb and a challenge to find a good place for your tripod; Still, that smooth ribbon of water falling into the clear turquoise water made your effort wotrthwhile. Great note too.
